The roots style blower was actually invented quite a long time ago, all the way back in the mid-1800s, when two brothers named Philander and Francis Marion Roots came up with it. Designed to support air circulation in places such as mines, railroads and factories, a group developed this blower. The idea was to increase ventilation in those locations to make them both safer and more pleasant. In the early 1900s, after a while, root blowers started to find their space in the automotive sector and many of the car manufacturers placed roots blower. And remember, the roots-style blower made its mass-production car debut all the way back in 1907 on none other than the Blitzen Benz. This JYSR industrial blowers one was more special - it broke the world land speed record at a staggering 125 miles per hour.

How Roots Style Blowers Work

Well, how does a roots style blower work. A roots style blower is just a fancy machine that forces air down into the engine of a car. That's what the two rotors are composed of; they spin in opposite directions. As these rotors begin to turn, they take in air from the outside and hold it between them. All the while, air is being captured between each of them and as they keep spinning, the air caught in between gets compressed and then fed into the engine. This additional air helps the engine operate more efficiently, which in turn allows for faster acceleration and improved fuel economy.
